Fiberglass Pool

Fiberglass Pools

This is a great idea for homeowners who want less time to clean their pool and more time enjoying it. It's smooth surfaces helps in maintaining itself. A Fiberglass pool is one example of an expensive in ground pool but with the lowest lifetime cost, meaning more time for grilling, parties and fun by the pool.

There are various things which make fiberglass pools unique. There are built in steps and seats made in this
pool. For your pool to stand out, whistles and bells can be added like water features, lighting or a hot tub. For you to add special coping, decking selection can affect your choices. When you select a standard deck which is budget friendly, fiberglass edging will be available but won’t be able to include an accent border. Cantilever deck is best if you have extra money to spend and want customization. Concrete is poured at the edge of the pool and combined with different finishes that is pebbled or tile finishes.

How are fiberglass pools installed?
Once you choose a design, the factory will create the swimming pool shell. Fiberglass is a lightweight and strong material, which is made through weaving small glass threads into fabric. Later it is hardened with polyester resin. Weather resistant gel is added to the mold so as to create a smooth finish. When the pool is finished, it will be delivered to your backyard and installed in the hole excavated. The whole installation of the pool will take 1 to 2 weeks.

Why are fiberglass pools popular?
They require less maintenance compared to vinyl and concrete pools. This pool offers less algae growth and constant PH levels due to its smooth finishing which is created with the weather resistant gel. This saves money spent on tools and
chemicals hence more time enjoying your pool than cleaning it. Maintaining this type of pool is very easy. To clean its walls, a wet rug or sponge and pool cleaner is used to remove waterlines or marks to avoid damaging the pool. Call a pool professional if there are stubborn marks or you want to drain your pool. A professional is needed to avoid damaging the gel coat instead of using harsh tools and cleaners.

As any other type of pool, a fiberglass pool has its pros and cons. Few pros is that they are durable, fast installation, minimal or no algae growth and low in maintaining it. Its disadvantages are that installation and transportation is expensive and there are fewer options like pool shape, depth and size. The cost of fiberglass pool depend on its size and shape, other factors are decking and water features.
